In our upcoming publication, Professor Eran (click here for his website) and I will explore the vital role of stakeholder theory in urban governance by emphasizing its relevance for modern democratic cities. In this way, by firmly connecting theory and practice, we will deliver essential guidance for more sustainable and smarter cities. Our book will provide practical tools such as stakeholder identification, effective engagement strategies, urban innovation, and decision-making processes. Our work will be an invaluable resource not only for academics but also for practitioners/policymakers, offering actionable guidelines that can drive real change. Thus, our work will be a tool for executive courses or short-term/summer courses. By promoting democratic values and empowering diverse stakeholders, we aim to enhance urban governance and support initiatives for sustainable, equitable cities.
